What I initially liked about the Hoont Indoor Pest Repeller was its ease of use. It came packaged in a neat box with 4 plug in repellents. The ease of use of this product is amazing – it is as simple as taking it out of the box, plugging it into the wall and turning the switch to the “ON” position.
I have used something similar to this before so second time around I didn’t have the same concerns of thousands of spiders running out of nowhere chasing me down – so don’t think that will happen because it doesn’t. The instructions do say that you may see an increase of pests for the first two weeks and this is normal as it is flushing them out of their hiding places – however, I haven’t noticed that. So it either hasn’t occurred or my husband has been on high alert getting rid of them to avoid a meltdown from me.
The four plugs are enough to cover a 350 sq ft of open area (ie warehouse, office etc) or they can be plugged into individual rooms. As ultrasonic waves cannot travel through walls etc it is advised to not plug them in behind sofas and to leave the doors open where possible to allow the sound to transmit.
The plugs themselves are approximately 8cm x 8 cm with a depth from the plug of approximately 3 cm. There is a night light on each plug which illuminates blue when switched on. The night light can be switched on or off on each unit so you can choose which ones have the light emitting. In addition there is a small red light on the front of each unit that lights up every two to three seconds accompanied by a quiet tick tick noise that indicates the unit is functioning.
In addition as these repellents do not use any chemicals it is safe to use them around children and animals although not recommended if you keep rodents as pets.
I haven’t come across any bugs or spiders since plugging these in but main spider season has finished. I will update my review in the future around the time I usually see a lot of spiders or bugs.
Easy to use plug-in 4 pack pest repeller, for multi room use.
