Amazing solar light sphere provides a great ambient light. It can float on water and makes a bold statement. A great addition to most gardens and patios.
Lighting whether in the home or garden can do many things. It can create a mood, highlight a feature or even just light the way. With outdoor living making a dramatic impact on how we use our gardens the importance of great outdoor lighting and features has never been more desired. This is where the Kealive Solar Light Ball (LT-SO3) comes in.
This LED Solar Ball Light provides an ambient light in the garden, whether standalone or used as part of a bigger feature. With an expected lifespan of 20000 hours LED lights are super efficient and when used as solar lighting last longer than older style lights. This light has inbuilt rechargeable batteries providing a battery back up for those days when more often than not in the UK we don’t get a full days sun. With the ability to charge even on cloudier days this light has been providing light on the evening even during the winter months. It has been placed in an area which is not shaded at all and gets the sun all day when its out. As it has been working in the winter months it can only be expected to work even better in the summer months when the sun is stronger and out for longer.
Although constructed from plastic the ball itself has a frosted glass look and you wouldn’t know it was made from plastic until you touched it. It makes an unexpected statement in the garden at night when it really comes alive but looks equally in its place during the day. The colour changing lights – nine colours in total provide a nice ambient feature in the evening.
The colours can be rotated and blended through different shades or you can opt to have one static colour. This can easily be controlled at the bottom of the globe where you will also find the power button. It would have been nice to have the option to control this ball by remote control purely for ease but as it automatically turns on in the evening you don’t have to fiddle with it everyday unless you want to change the colours.
This ball of wonder is also IP67 water resistant and if correctly tightened can be used to float on a water feature or garden pond. This really opens up the possibilities for this light. At approximately 12 inches in size this ball will not be out of place in any garden and will look spectacular in larger gardens if more than one is purchased.
As the solar panel is securely fitted inside the globe the ball will need to be placed in an area with optimum lighting. The bonus of the solar panel being fitted inside means that there are no unsightly panels or wires ruining the aesthetics of the ball light.
The only downside I would say that I have found that could easily be solved was inside the globe next to the solar panel was a tag. On the tag something written in German which once translated in Google stated that the tag must be removed before the first use. Having the translation in English on the back would help.
This solar light sphere provides a great ambient light, can float on water and makes a statement. It would be a great addition to most gardens and patios.
